The print made by Dietrich in the style of Adriaen van Ostade represents a street singer or vendor performing before a crowd of villagers. The performer holds a stick with which he is pointing to a series of images that are displayed on a stand behind him. On the left, a boy stands holding a rat cage that is mounted to a pole.
